Stephen A. McCrory

Mr. McCrory began his business career in the factoring and asset based lending industry working for several years at independent companies as well as The Bank of Nova Scotia and Bank of Montreal.  In 1991, he started Intrepid Partners to provide consulting and invoice discount financing to small businesses.  After several successful years in the invoice discount business, Stephen turned his focus to consulting, in the corporate finance sector.

Through Intrepid Partners, Stephen has provided consultancy and project management services in areas including structured finance, credit process reviews, due diligence on lease portfolios and corporate acquisitions, regulatory compliance, real estate management, Industry Canada ’s Leasing Program as well as marketing and sales in the information technology industry. 

Stephen has advised on over $3.8 billion of securitization transactions and also worked with Industry Canada to advise on securitization, business and credit issues related to their Capital Leasing Pilot Program.

Mr. McCrory has authored a number of white papers on the Basel II Banking Accord and its potential affect on the leasing industry in North America.  His most recent article discusses the benefits of Business Process Mapping.  He is an accomplished speaker who participates on various panels.

Stephen McCrory holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Loyola College , Montreal , Quebec (now Concordia University ).
